Tutorial: AKVIS Sketch

Program Preferences

The Preferences dialog box looks like this:

Preferences window
  • Program Language. Change the language by selecting another from the drop-down list.
  • The Preview Window size. Choose the desired value of the parameter. By default the parameter’s value = 250, that is the Quick Preview Window has a proportion 250х250.
  • Processing Size Limit. This parameter accelerates image processing by temporary reducing the size of the image to be processed. When the file size (in megapixels) does not exceed the defined value, the image is processed in a usual way. If the loaded file is larger, the program will reduce the image, process it and enlarge again to the initial size.
  • Use old Sketch Algorithm. When the check-box is enabled, the image in the Sketch is processed using the algorithm from the early versions of the program (including version 8.6).

  • Remember Parameters. Selecting the check-box preserves the changes made to the settings every time the program is launched.
  • Initial Scale. This parameter defines the way the image is scaled in the Image Window after opening. The parameter can take one of two values:
    - image scaling Fit to view. The scale adjusts so that the image will be completely visible in the Image Window;
    - if the option 100% is checked, image doesn’t scale. Generally, when the scale = 100%, only part of the image will be visible.

To save changes made in the Preferences window press OK.

If you need, click on the button Default to come back the default settings.
