Egypt 100 Years Ago: Vintage Postcard

You can use AKVIS HDRFactory not only to create high dynamic range images, but also to turn an ordinary photo into a spectacular stylized vintage postcard.

The tutorial was made using the AKVIS HDRFactory plugin in AliveColors.

• Step 1. Open an image in your photo editor.
  
• Step 2. Make the picture darker: Image -> Adjustment -> Curves.

  Save the image in the same folder as the original photo, but with a different name.

• Step 3. Call the AKVIS HDRFactory plugin: Effects -> AKVIS -> HDRFactory. Press and choose both images (original and corrected).

  In the dialog box Set Exposure Values specify the step equal to 1 and click Apply. Images will appear in the program and will be processed with the default settings.

  

  In the presets list choose AKVIS Antique, the image will be processed automatically using the preset's settings.

  

  Click on to apply the result and return to the editor.

• Step 4. Add noise to the HDR image. Select the command: Effects -> Noise -> Add Noise and adjust the parameters of the filter.
