Autumn collage
The example was made in the old version of the Chameleon plug-in.
Now the technique of using AKVIS Chameleon is different, but the
result will be the same.
Consult the article "Blend mode" to get the same result with the new version. In the older versions (before v.5.0) this mode was
called Snapshot and applied automatically right after you launch the
plugin from the menu Filter.
We have chosen these two photos to create a photo collage: a photo of a poplar against the autumn sky and a photo of a charming girl.
We open the photos in Adobe Photoshop.
First we take a snapshot of the tree image by selecting the command Filter - AKVIS - Chameleon (Take Snapshot). Then we select the portrait of the girl as a whole (Select - All), copy the selection and paste it into the photo with the tree.
Use the command Scale from the menu Edit - Transform and change the size of the pasted object so that its height was a bit smaller than the image with the tree.
Activate the layer with the girl's portrait and call the command Edit - Transform - Flip Horizontal to mirror the portrait vertically. Then move the portrait to the right upper corner.
Call the plugin AKVIS Chameleon by selecting the command AKVIS - Chameleon (Use Snapshot) from the Filter menu. The plugin does not have an interface, it starts its work once you call the command. Within seconds we get the following image.
We think the photo collage will look better if we make it a bit lighter with the Levels command. But before applying this command we should merge the layers, otherwise the command will be applied only to the layer with the girl.
Well, first we call the command Layer - Merge Layers, then select the command Adjustments - Levels in the menu Image. In the Levels dialog box we move the slider of the white point to the left to approx 200 and press the button OK.
As a result we have the following photo collage: a poplar, a blue sky and the contour of the girl's face.
