The photo collage has been created by Gun Legler with AKVIS Chameleon plugin in Paint Shop Pro.
She used an image of a girl and a colorful background to create a photo collage.
Read how to achieve this effect:
Step 1. Open the photo of the girl and the background image in Paint Shop Pro or other photo editor.
Step 2. Select the girl. With a uniform background the easiest way is using the Magic Wand for gray and inverting the selection. To make the selection process easier, you can call the command Selection - Modify - Select Similar.
Step 3. Copy the selection by calling AKVIS -> Chameleon - Grab Fragment from the Effects menu (in Photoshop use the Filter menu).
Step 4. Now take the image with the colorful background and call AKVIS -> Chameleon - Make Collage. The plug-in’s window will open. The background and the girl will be in the Before tab.
Step 5. Choose Chameleon mode from the drop-down menu in the Settings Panel. This mode helps to adjust the inserted object to the target image color range.
Adjust the size and position of the girl with the Transform tool from the Toolbar.
Step 6. Press the button to make the collage. The result will appear in the After tab. Press the button to apply the collage to the image.
