Boat Trip: Animated Oil Painting Effects
The AKVIS OilPaint Video plugin turns videos into animated works of art. Adding special effects to videos using AKVIS video editing plugins is straightforward and hassle-free. Get inspired and bring your video content to the next level!
The tutorial is created using Adobe After Effects. You can use any compatible video editing program.
Video Frame: Oil Painting Effect
- Step 1. Launch Adobe After Effects. Select Add Media to import the video file and create a composition (New Comp from Selection).
- Step 2. Select the clip, head over to the Effect -> Time panel and search for the Posterize Time filter.
Set the Frame Rate parameter in the Effect Controls panel to 12.
- Step 3. Apply the oil painting effect: in the Effects & Presets panel, select AKVIS Plug-ins -> OilPaint Video and drag it onto the Timeline. The effect will be applied with the default settings.
- Step 4. Adjust the effect settings in the Abstract Art section as follows:
- Step 5. Launch the video processing by selecting File -> Export -> Add to Render Queue in the top menu.
Click the Render button to start rendering.
