Tutorial: AKVIS Explosion
Splashes of Water
Another fun use of AKVIS Explosion is creating water splashes using the Particles in the form of bubbles. This effect lets you artistically modify photographs of people or objects in water.
- Step 1. Run the program and open an image in the Particles effect.

- Step 2. Use the Selection Brush to select a small area in the water next to the subject. Save the selection to a .stroke file with . From here splashes are generated.

- Step 3. Set the Angle and adjust the parameters in the Particles tab. You can use one of the ready presets.

Control the shape and direction of splashes with the Wind Effect.

- Step 4. Change the Effect Blend Mode to Lighten and apply the result to the Before tab by clicking on .
First Application of The Effect (Before Tab)
- Step 5. Sometimes to achieve the desired effect, we have to combine multiple results.
Load the previously saved selection and change or move it a bit with .
Adjust the parameters of the effect (for example, the size and direction of the particles). The new splashes will be placed above the previous ones.
Select the Layer Blend Mode (we use Soft Light) and apply the changes .

- Step 6. In the last step, you can refine the result with the History Brush (edit or fade the effect).
