Looking Through Binoculars: Stencil Art Effect

The AKVIS Stencil Video plugin allows you to get creative and create a dramatic impactful video out from the regular footage. In this tutorial, we are processing a video of a person looking through binoculars. The result is original content that engages viewers and holds their attention.

The example is made using Adobe After Effects.

Video Frame: Stencil Art Effect

• Step 1. Open your video editor, use Add Media to import the file and create a composition (New Comp from Selection).
  
• Step 2. Apply the effect: in the Effects & Presets panel, select AKVIS Plug-ins -> Stencil Video and drag it onto the Timeline. The plugin will be applied with the default settings.
  
• Step 3. You can adjust the effect settings or use one of the built-in or custom presets.

  We slightly reduced the value of the Shadows and Smoothness parameters.

  
• Step 4. Start video processing (Composition -> Add to Render Queue) and save the result.
