AKVIS OilPaint 8.0: Now with Artistic Edge Effects and 3D Frames!
December 4, 2018 — AKVIS announces the release of OilPaint 8.0, a fun and versatile photo-to-painting software. Version 8.0 adds the new Edge tab that applies artistic edge effects to the painting. Also, the recent version offers the 3D frames, the integrated Notification Panel, new built-in presets, and some bug fixes.
AKVIS OilPaint turns digital photos into incredible oil paintings. The unique algorithm authentically reproduces the technique of the real brush and gives users full creative control over the effect. With AKVIS OilPaint, you don't need to be a professional artist to produce a work of art. Just open an image in OilPaint and select a preset or adjust the effect settings manually. The software automatically creates a masterpiece out of any photo!
Version 8.0 offers the new Edge tab (Home Deluxe/Business) that allows users to add extra artistic strokes to the edges of the converted oil painting.
The new 3D effect check-box is now available in the Frame tab. The feature makes the decorative classic frame appear even more prominently and realistic.
Also, the recent version adds the integrated Notification Panel and new ready-to-use presets.

The software runs on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 - 32-bit, 64-bit; Mac OS X 10.11 and macOS 10.12-10.14 - 64-bit. The product is available as a standalone application and as a plugin filter for AliveColors, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Photo-Paint, and other image editors.

The update is free for users who bought OilPaint in the last 12 months. Users, whose license is older and is not valid for the new version, can get OilPaint 8.0 for only $14.95.
