Valentine card
This example shows how to create a Valentine's day card for your loved ones.
You need:
- Adobe Photoshop (or other photo editor compatible with AKVIS Chameleon),
- AKVIS Chameleon plug-in,
- a primary image for the postcard (in our case it is an image with rose petals),
- a picture frame (we've chosen an image with an ice picture frame)
- a bit of your time.
Let's proceed to the St.Valentine's card creation:
- Step 1. Open the original images in Adobe Photoshop.
- Step 2. We will combine the image of rose petals and the picture frame (these two image must be of the same size):
- activate the image of the picture frame and call the command Filter - AKVIS - Chameleon (Take Snapshot);
- go to the image with rose petals, call the command Select - All and copy the selection using the command Edit - Copy);
- insert the selected image of rose petals into the picture frame (Edit - Paste) and run the command Filter - AKVIS - Chameleon (Use Snapshot).
As a result you get the following image:
- Step 3. Let's add an inscription:
- Select the Horizontal Type tool from the Toolbar.
- Set parameters for the Horizontal Type tool in the Option bar: font - "Script MT Bold", size "100", Strong, text color - black.
- Click on the image and type a text, for example, "I love you". The inscription will be created on a separate layer.
- Make sure that you are still on the layer with the typed text and call the command Filter - AKVIS - Chameleon. As a result the inscription will acquire the colors of the background and even become invisible.
- Make sure that you are on the layer with the text and apply the layer effects Outer Glow and Inner Glow, selecting the commands Layer - Layer Style - Outer Glow and Layer - Layer Style - Inner Glow.
- Step 4. Let's add a Valentine heart:
- Select the Custom Shape tool from the Toolbar.
- Select the Heart Card shape from the available list of shapes in the Shape parameter of the Option toolbar.
- Add a heart on the new layer.
- Activate the layer with the heart and call the command Filter - AKVIS - Chameleon. As a result the color of the heart will change from black to rose.
- Activate the layer with the Valentine hearts and apply the layer effects Outer Glow and Inner Glow by calling the command Layer - Layer Style - Outer Glow and Inner Glow.
- Rotate the heart a bit using the command Edit - Free Transform.
- Create a copy of the layer with the heart and select the command Layer - Duplicate Layer.
- Move the second heart to the right and rotate it with the command Edit - Free Transform.
Now we adjust the position of the inscription and the hearts on the greeting card and the Valentine card is ready.
