Inferno

Inferno modifier imposes grey scale noise onto an element; this gives an imitation of clouds, smoke, or fog.

The Blob element The Blob element transformed with the Inferno modifier

The modifier has the following properties:

The parameter Level sets the range of the element transparency, 0% – element is not visible, 100% – element is solid.

With Level less than 50%, the element transparency changes from 0 to this value. For example, if Level=30%, the transparency will be changing within the range of 0 to 30%.

With Level = 50%, the transparency will be changing within the range of 0 to 50%.

With Level more than 50%, the tranparancy of the element is changing withing the range of Level-10% to 100%. For example, if Level=80%, the transparency of the element varies from 80-10=70% to 100%.
Level = 30% Level = 50% Level = 80%
Level = 30% Level = 50% Level = 80%

The parameter Seed sets the starting number for the random-number generator. It can be any number between 0 and 9999; every number produces a unique noise pattern.
Seed = 0 Seed = 2941 Seed = 7842
Seed = 0 Seed = 2941 Seed = 7842

The parameter Frequency sets the frequency of distortions.
Frequency = 5% Frequency = 30% Frequency = 70%
Frequency = 5% Frequency = 30% Frequency = 70%

The parameter Detail defines the noise complexity.
Detail = 1 Detail = 3 Detail = 7
Detail = 1 Detail = 3 Detail = 7

The parameter Harmonic Scale defines the range of transformations.
Harmonic scale = 10% Harmonic scale = 50% Harmonic scale = 100%
Harmonic scale = 10% Harmonic scale = 50% Harmonic scale = 100%

The parameter Smoothness sets the detail flatness.
Smoothness = 10% Smoothness = 50% Smoothness = 100%
Smoothness = 10% Smoothness = 50% Smoothness = 100%
