Tutorial: AKVIS LightShop

Applying a Light Effect

Watch a flash-movie that shows how to apply ready-to-use light effects from the presets list of AKVIS Lightshop.

Light effects from the presets list can be applied to the image right away. Follow the instruction below:

  • Step 1. Select a light effect from the list of presets by left-clicking it. The chosen light effect will be marked by a red frame.
  • Step 2. Press the button Go to see the light effect in the Image Window.
  • Step 3. Adjust the light effect parameters, such as Color, Brightness, Opacity, Scale, and Angle. These parameters are set in the left part of the AKVIS Lightshop workspace under the Image Window. The adjustment of these parameters does not influence the individual settings of the effect's elements. See Common Parameters.
  • Step 4. Position the light effect on the image by dragging it with the left mouse button.
  • Step 5. Select a Blend mode for applying the light effect to the image. See Common Parameters.
  • Step 6. Press the button Apply effects to apply the result and close the LightShop window (in the plugin version) or save the image by pressing the button save image (in the standalone version).

Note! In the list of presets (in addition to the light effects created by AKVIS) you can also see the user presets saved into the folder specified in the Options dialog. By default, your presets are saved into the folder:

Windows: Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\AKVIS LLC\LightShop\Presets

Macintosh: Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/AKVIS LLC/LightShop/Presets.

You can specify a different folder. In the presets list you will only see the presets saved in this folder.
