The following example of old photo restoration with AKVIS
Retoucher was sent by Yuriy Karanfil.
In this case AKVIS
Retoucher allowed to restore the photo of the child removing
substantial defects: scratches, creases, stains.
First of all, you should select all substantial defects with any selection
tool and call AKVIS
Retoucher. In the Retoucher program window the selected
parts of the image will be highlighted in red. Press the "Start" button  in
the Program window and see the defects disappear.
When the restoration proces is over and the result is applied you will see
the following photo of the boy:
You can add the final touch by the Smudge
Tool of Adobe Photoshop.
Besides, you can convert the photo into sepia tones, so that it looks like
an old photo. To this effect select the command Sepia
Toning (layer) in the Actions pallete and press the button
Play selection in the lower part of the palette.
