You can edit any light effect from the presets list by changing the properties of its elements, the order of elements in the light effect tree or by adding/deletingg its elements.

To edit a preset, follow the instruction:

  • Step 1. Select a light effect from the list of presets by left-clicking it. The selected light effect will be marked by a red frame.
  • Step 2. Press the button Edit below the Presets panel. As a result the Effect Settings panel will open and you will see the structure of the light effect; its elements are presented as a tree. On the right of the tree you can see the thumbnail of the light effect in the Preview Window.

    When you select an element in the tree, the Preview Window shows only the selected element; its properties and modifiers are shown below the tree.

  • Step 3. You can edit the selected light effect: change the elements' properties, adjust modifiers, remove or add elements, change the sequence of the elements in the tree, etc.
  • Step 4. Press the button Go to display the light effect in the Image Window.

    In the Image Window only active elements are shown (the elements with enabled check-boxes). If a check-box near an element is disabled, the element will not appear in the light effect.

  • Step 5. Save the light effect by pressing the button Save As. All newly created and than edited light effects can be saved under the old or a new name. The presets from the AKVIS folder can not be changed, you can only save the edited preset under a new name.

    In the dialog box Save as you should specify the following:

    • Name – the name of the file and the name of the preset in the presets list;
    • Comment - additional information about the light effect (optional). If you don't add this information, the light effect will have a default comment.
