Colorize a family portrait
The following photo has been submitted by Chuck Croom. Actually, it came in poor condition (it was all covered with scratches and color stains, besides it had a bluish tint). That's why, first of all, we retouched it with the plug-ins AKVIS Retoucher, AKVIS Stamp and the Adobe Photoshop tools.
Let's colorize it:
- Step 1. Open the photo in your photo editor.
- Step 2. Call the AKVIS Coloriage plug-in. For this purpose in Adobe Photoshop or in Adobe Photoshop Elements select the menu item Filter AKVIS Coloriage; and in Corel PHOTO-PAINT select the menu item Effects AKVIS Coloriage.
- Step 3. Set a color for every object on the photo. Select a color from the Colors palette or from the Color library, draw an outline within the object and draw some lines inside the object.
- Step 4. Start the colorization process by pressing the button
. The result will be shown in the After tab.
- Step 5. Apply the colorization result by pressing the button
.
