You can apply a modifier to any light effect element or a group of them. There are 9 different modifiers in the program and they can be applied to an element or a group of elements in any combination or order.
- Add a modifier
To add a new modifier press  and choose the appropriate modifier from the list. Then you should set parameters for the added modifier. Almost all modifier parameters are set with gliding scales.
Addition of modifiers and changing their parameters influences the look of the element. All changes are immediately seen in the preview window to the right of the folders tree.
- Select a modifier
To choose a modifier click its name in the list. The line with the chosen modifier would be highlighted in grey.
- Change the order of modifiers
Using  and  buttons you can change the place of a modifier in the list. The pressing of moves a modifier one-step up. The pressing of moves a modifier one-step down.
- Disable a modifier
Only those modifiers from the list are applied to the element (a group of elements) that are enabled by an activated checkbox. If the checkbox is deactivated, the modifier would be disabled and not applied to the element.
- Remove a modifier from the list
To remove a modifier out of the list choose it and press  .
- Show inherited modifiers
The resulted look of an element is influenced not only by its own modifiers but also by the modifiers of its group and of all the parent groups. To reveal all the active modifiers in the list and see the resulted look of the element in the Preview window you should activate All checkbox.
The order in which modifiers are applied very strongly influences the result. For example, if you take the Rays element and apply modifiers Flower and Whirlpool to it in different order the two resulted light effects would look very differently.
In the first case, you apply the Flower modifier to the Rays element and then twist it into a whirlpool with the Whirlpool modifier.
In the second case, the Rays element is twisted into a whirlpool first, and only then you apply the Flower modifier to it.
In both cases, the initial Rays element and all the modifiers elements are absolutely the same but the final result is different.
