Sparkling Car: Applying a Custom Texture

AKVIS Decorator allows one to alter the surface of any object. In addition to various built-in textures, you can load and apply custom textures.

This tutorial will show you how to apply a custom glitter texture to a car.

• Step 1. Open an image of a car in AKVIS Decorator using the button .
• Step 2. Create a selection of the car using the Quick Selection tool . You can save the selection to reuse it later by clicking on .
  
  Creating a Selection
• Step 3. Download or create a glitter texture. You can use any image of any size.
• Step 4. Double-click on the texture sample in the Texture tab to open the Texture Library. Load the custom texture by pressing . The texture will appear in the sample window.

• Step 5. If you wish, you can colorize the texture. To do this, double-click the color plate, select any color and adjust the Colorize parameter. In this example, we will use the texture as is.

• Step 6. Apply the texture by pressing . Save the result using .
