AKVIS Noise Buster can be helpful
not only for enhancement of "noisy" images but for improving of quality snapshots
as well. You can apply it to portraits to smooth the skin of a model.
In professional portrait shooting they often use special
softening filters that allow smoothing small wrinkles and masking minor skin
defects.
Open a photo in a photo editor. At first glance it seems pretty
good. However, if we increase the scale of the image we can see unevenness of
the skin that spoils the impression from the snapshot.
AKVIS Noise Buster will help us to smooth
the skin and create a "cover-girl" effect.
Call the plug-in by calling the command AKVIS –> Noise Buster in the menu Filters (Effects) of your photo editor.
Noise Buster will processe the image using
the Automatic Filtering preset from the list of presets. But
we need a special effect, so we will adjust the parameters manually.
Increase a bit the value of Luminance Noise Level and Smooth
Level, and just a little bit of Smooth Level for Color Noise. Regulate parameters
in the Advanced palette: increase the value of the parameter
Sharpen Edges to improve the sharpness of the contours. Below
you can see the settings we used.
We are satisfied with the result of filtering in the preview
area and apply it to the whole image with the button .
Now we press the button to apply the filtering to the image and close the plug-in's window. Pay attention
to the girl's skin, now it is smooth and even.
