Program Language To switch the interface to another language, choose a language from the drop-down menu and press OK.

Initial Scale. This parameter defines the way the image is scaled in the Image Window after opening. The parameter can take one of two values:
- image scaling Fit to view. The scale adjusts so that the image will be completely visible in the Image Window;
- if the option 100% is checked, image doesn’t scale. Generally, when the scale = 100%, only part of the image will be visible.

Check-box Remember Settings. Selecting the check-box preserves the changes made to the settings every time the program is launched.

The check-box The History palette is always grouped with other tabs fixes the History tab with the Layers and Channels tabs. When the check-box is disabled, the History palette may shift within the Settings Panel as the size of the program window changes (this option is useful for those who have large monitors).

Show Tool's Parameters check box. When this check box is activated, the parameters for the selected tool will appear at the top of the Settings Panel.

Show Hints check box. When this check box is activated hints will be shown at the bottom of the Settings Panel.
To save changes made in the Preferences window press OK.
Press Default to return to the default settings.
