March 29, 2017 — AKVIS is pleased to announce the release of AKVIS Refocus 7.0. The major update brings two brand new blur modes - Motion Blur and Radial Blur, that allows to create the illusion of movement giving a viewer a sense of speed and action.
AKVIS Refocus specializes in improving sharpness of out-of-focus images and applying blur effects to regular photos. The software allow to bring a miniature effect to a human-scale scene, imitate the appearance of a shallow depth of field, give a photograph a dreamy look by adding differently shaped bokeh effects, etc.
With the program you can process the entire photo or bring into focus only certain parts. Using predefined settings in built-in presets let you quickly achieve impressive result.
Version 7.0 provides two brand new modes - Motion Blur and Radial Blur - allowing you to create the natural-looking illusion of movement - either linear or radial. Also, the new version offers the advanced Background Defocus effect and additional presets. Make your images look alive!
The Motion Blur mode adds the appearance of linear movement to a stationary object. You can apply the effect to either an entire image or put an accent to certain areas by blurring the background.
The Radial Blur feature creates a circular blurring effect similar to rotating or zooming camera. There is a choice of two radial blur types:
The Zoom blur creates the illusion of motion toward or away from the viewer.
The Spin blur adds the spinning motion to an image.
The Background Defocus feature in the Refocus mode has been improved by increasing the maximum blur amount from 100 to 1000.
The new version offers additional ready-to-use presets that illustrate the abilities of the new effects.
