September 3, 2012 — AKVIS announces the release of AKVIS Magnifier v.6.0, an efficient software for increasing image resolution. It resizes any digital image without losing image quality. Magnifier is available for both Windows and Macintosh as a standalone program and as a plugin for Adobe Photoshop. Version 6.0 fixes bugs and adds new features.
Do you want to create stylish and fun wall art from your favorite photos? You can blow your pictures up into a poster-sized print and decorate your room.
AKVIS Magnifier makes it easy for anyone to produce professional-looking enlargements out of digital images. The software lets you resize images without losing quality.
Admittedly, when one enlarges a picture using the standard Resize command of a photo editor, the resulting photo is blurred and pixelated. This happens because a small image does not contain enough information to create a larger version with good definition. AKVIS Magnifier can cope with this problem and deliver good results.
Resizing pictures with Magnifier yields a much higher quality image than simple bicubic interpolation.
Whether creating poster-size images, adding resolution for printing an enlargement, or reducing image size, AKVIS Magnifier will make your pictures look sharper and better defined! The software allows enlarging an image to a super-high resolution of up to 30,000 x 30,000 pixels, making a 100 x 100 inch (2.5 x 2.5 meter) poster easily printable at typographic quality of 300 dpi.
The program requires no complicated techniques or special knowledge to achieve good results and can be used even by an amateur photographer. It is easily configurable and allows fine-tuning the resulting photo.
The image processing parameters are grouped in two sections: Downsize and Upsize. The parameters become active according to the desired image size. When resizing an image, Magnifier restores edges and details and removes artifacts.
The software supports Batch Processing. Just apply the program with the same settings to a folder full of photos. The program will resize all of them in automation mode.
