AKVIS Decorator v.1.5. Change Texture/Color of an Object Preserving its Volume!

January 10, 2008 — AKVIS announces the update of AKVIS Decorator plug-in to v.1.5. The plug-in allows applying a new texture/color to an object preserving its volume. The new color or texture looks absolutely natural. New to version: bugs fixed, Macintosh version is now a Universal Binary application. It runs on both Intel- and PowerPC-based Mac computers; support of Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard); compatibility with Photoshop CS3 (Intel). The Windows version is compatible with Photoshop Elements v.6.0. Upgrade for registered users is free.
With AKVIS Decorator you can create your own world! The program allows painting objects on a photo with astounding ease and with amazing results. You can apply a snake skin to your car, turn a man into an alien, change a dress on a girl, convert a wooden table into a golden one and anything else that you can imagine. Select an object on an image and apply new textures or/and colors to it. Unlike the "bucket-fill" tool in many photo editors, the plug-in follows the underlying features of the object, its folds and creases. The new pattern looks absolutely natural and makes you see things differently.
The program comes with a built-in Texture Library that offers a rich collection of over 1700 textures - from fabric to stones and metal, from food to animal fur and flowers. If it is not enough, you can apply your own textures – just save a square pattern as a jpg file and load it into the library.
