Installation
Below you will find instructions on how to install the program in Windows and in Macintosh.
Attention! You must have administrator rights to install
the program on your computer.
Before installing AKVIS Plug-in, please make sure that the photo editor where you want to install the plug-in, is closed.
Program installation under Windows
Follow the instructions to install AKVIS Enhancer in Windows (other programs are installed in the same manner):
- Start the setup file akvis-enhancer-setup.exe.
- Select your language and press the button Next to launch the installation process.

To continue the installation process you have to read and accept the
License Agreement.
Activate the check box "Yes, I agree with all the terms of this license agreement", and press Next.

Select your photo editor(s) from the list and press Next.
If there is no your photo editor in the list, activate the check box Other Graphics Software, press the button Browse
and choose the Plug-Ins folder of your photo editor. For example, for Corel Photo Paint it may be :
C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 13\Plugins or C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Graphics 12\Plugins. You can use any other folder where you keep all plugins and filters, for example, C:\My Plugins. In this case you should set this folder as the plugins folder in the settings of your photo editor.
To install the independent version (standalone), make sure that the check-box Standalone Edition is activated.

Choose a folder in the Main menu where you want the program
to create shortcuts, and press Next. To create a shortcut for the program on desktop, activate the check-box Create Shortcut.

The installation is in progress.
- The installation is completed.
You can subscribe to the AKVIS Newsletter. Click the check box and enter your e-mail address.
- Press Finish to exit Setup.
After installation of the standalone version of Enhancer, you will see a new line in the Start menu: AKVIS - Enhancer and a shortcut on desktop, if during installation the check-box Create Shortcut was enabled.
After installation of the plugin version Enhancer you will see a new item in the Filters (Effects) menu of your photo editor. For example in Photoshop: Filter -> AKVIS –> Enhancer. Please use this command to launch the plugin in the editor.
Exception: You can launch almost all AKVIS plugins from the menu Filters, except Magnifier. To call the Magnifier plugin in Photoshop please use the command
File -> Automate -> AKVIS Magnifier, in Photoshop Elements: File -> Automation tools -> AKVIS Magnifier.
Program installation under Macintosh
Follow the instructions to install AKVIS Coloriage in Macintosh (other programs are installed in the same manner):

Open the virtual disk dmg
akvis-coloriage-plugin.dmg if you use Photoshop CS3-CS4, Photoshop Elements 6
akvis-coloriage-legacy.dmg for older versions of Photoshop and Photoshop Elements
akvis-coloriage-app.dmg to install the standalone edition of AKVIS Coloriage
The certain programs offers the dmg files which contain both editions.
Just copy the appropriate file into the corresponding place (see below).
You will see a dialog box with the License Agreement.
- Read the License Agreement and press Agree, if you agree with the conditions.
- Finder will open with AKVIS Coloriage application or AKVIS Coloriage PlugIn inside.

To install the standalone version just drag the AKVIS Coloriage application into the folder Applications (or any other place you like).
To install the plugin version drag the entire AKVIS Coloriage PlugIn folder into the Plug-Ins folder of your graphic editor. For example, if you use Photoshop CS3 you should move the folder AKVIS Coloriage Plugin into: Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Plug-Ins.
After installation of the plugin version of Coloriage, you will see a new item in the Filters (Effects) menu of your photo editor: AKVIS -> Coloriage.
Please use this command to launch the plugin in the editor.
Exception: You can launch almost all AKVIS plugins from the menu Filters, except Magnifier. To call the Magnifier plugin in Photoshop please use the command
File -> Automate -> AKVIS Magnifier, in Photoshop Elements: File -> Automation tools -> AKVIS Magnifier.
The standalone version is run by double-click on the application.
